gifts for the girls

gifts for the girls

This holiday season I’ll be sharing a few gift ideas that’ll be perfect for your girls. Whether your girls are your sisters, homegirls, sorors, your girlfriend, or you’re just looking to treat yourself, this list is perfect for finding something special for someone special. I’ve organized this list by price range and just a heads up, a couple of the items included in this list are sponsored.

$25 & Under

ban.do 2019 Planner

$20, currently $16

I love a good planner and ban.do is full of them! I first got one of their planners for 2017 and I loved it so I’m back for 2019. What I love about ban.do’s planners is that it has two different views (monthly & weekly), it comes with tabs so that you’re able to head straight to the month you’re planning for, and it comes with three pages of stickers. This gift is perfect for the woman in your life who loves to have it all together. Show her you care by making sure she’s organized throughout her booked and busy 2019.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser

$20

If you have a friend that’s into skincare as much as I am then this is definitely the cleanser for them. I received this cleanser along with the Mia Prima Sonic Cleansing Brush in mid-October from Her Campus’ IncfluenceHer Collective and Kiehl’s. I’ve been using both products together and I’ve really enjoyed how the cleanser has fought my breakouts and evened out my skin tone. This specially formulated gentle foaming cleanser helps remove dirt and debris without over-drying or stripping the skin. In addition to dissolving excess oil and dirt, this pH-balanced cleanser helps maintain skin’s natural balance. Formulated with Squalane, Apricot Kernel Oil, Vitamin E, and Avocado Oil, our gentle face wash is suitable for all skin types.

Category Feud

$25

My friends and I love playing Cards Against Humanity and Culturally Awkward. Well, we just love playing games in general (like Uno, Monopoly, Family Feud, and of course iMessage games). This is my favorite game. It’s a combination of Jeopardy and Family Feud with topics like R&B music and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Beyonce. It’s also from a black-owned company in Chicago.

$26 – $50

Smoko Peach Plushie Heating Pad

$35

This one is for my girls that experience the worst cramps of all time during Shark Week. Urban Outfitters offers tons of different items as heating pads (such as a llama, a unicorn, an avocado, a sloth, a cat), I just chose a peach because I’m a Georgia Peach. The reviews for the avocado heating pad say that it’s 80% recommended, while the llama heating pad is 92% recommended.

“What Do You Meme?” Game

$30

I came across this game on Urban Outfitters a while back and thought it’d be a great game for my friend group and yours! UO also offers a regular extension pack ($12) as well as themed ones ($13) for the Real Housewives series, Rick & Morty, and my personal favorite, Game of Thrones.

$51 – $100

iHome Vanity Mirror Speaker

$100, currently $80

This gift is perfect for your friend that loves admiring herself and getting ready for a good pop out. This friend also probably has Leo in their chart somewhere. Anyway, this gift is great for your glamorous aux DJ friend because it’s a mirror (with lights!) that plays music. It’s the perfect combination of everything they love: music and themselves!

Clarisonic Mia Prima Sonic Cleansing Brush

$99

If you remember last October I partnered with Her Campus’ InfluenceHer Collective and Clarisonic to talk about Clarisonic’s Mia 1 Sonic Cleansing Brush and how it’s helped with my skin. Well, as I mentioned above, the three of us are together again to share the Mia Prima Sonic Cleansing Brush with you all! I really enjoy using Clarisonic’s products because it helps cleanse my face way better than my hands can, especially after a long and tiring day. The brush head is also very effective for sensitive skin. Clarisonic is also the #1 US Dermatologist recommended cleansing device so that’s a bonus! I’m currently using their Daily Radiance Brush Head ($29) that comes with a built-in time strip to notify you when it’s time to replace it, which I think is super neat!

$100+

Fitbit Charge 3

$150, currently $130

I currently own the Fitbit Charge 2 HR and I love it so much! I love being able to track my steps more efficiently as well as my heart rate and activity throughout the day. It really keeps me up to date with if I’m being active enough. The Charge 3 features all the same attributes as the Charge 2 such as steps, heart rate, guided breathing sessions, call & text notifications, reminders to move, activity & sleep tracking, etc. The Charge 3 also add new features like quick replies for texts and female health tracking. This is great for your friend that loves to stay active or is promising to stick to their new year’s resolution this time.

Fujifilm SQ6 Instax Square Instant Camera

$130

To the friend that loves to capture the moment, this is for you. This camera not only instantly prints, but it also comes with a selfie mirror, six modes, and three color filters! This is also great for those of us who want to take more pictures and remember more moments in this new year.

That’s my list for this year’s gift-giving season! Did this list help you figure out what to get someone in your life? Let me know in the comments below!
